Aloy is a 5-star Cryo archer, but before coming to shoot frozen arrows in Genshin Impact, she is first and foremost the heroine of the action/adventure video game Horizon. She is thus the first character to be issued from a collaboration with another universe. She benefits from a dynamic and easy to handle gameplay. Often underestimated, she is nevertheless a convincing DPS burst and is ideal for beginners. We explain how to play Aloy from Genshin Impact in this complete guide. With our tips and tricks, you'll know which artifacts and weapons to equip her with, and who to play her with.
Aloy is a unique character. She belongs to the Horizon universe. This collaboration was to celebrate the Genshin Impact release on PS5. You could then unlock Aloy in Genshin Impact for free if you play on PS4 or PS5. Then, the Cryo heroine was offered from October 13 to November 24, 2021 to PC and mobile players.
Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to get Aloy. She doesn't get any forward bids in an Character Event Wish or a Standard Wish. Also, unlike all other characters in the RPG, she has no constellation.
While one might expect Aloy to be played as the main DPS, she proves to be better as a sub-DPS. Her normal attacks are unfortunately too weak to make her a full-fledged DPS. She does not compete with Ayaka or Ganyu in this area. On the other hand, thanks to her elemental attacks, she can effectively assist your team.
With her Frozen Wilds elemental ability, Aloy fires a gel bomb that explodes on impact in the targeted direction and deals Cryo damage. It then splits into many smaller bombs, similar to the elemental attack of Klee. When a bomb hits an enemy, the enemy's ATK drops (up to 15% once the ability reaches level 10) and Aloy gets 1 Coil stack. If she has 4, Aloy enters a state of Rushing Ice state. Her normal attacks will be infused with Cryo and do more damage for 10 seconds.
As an added bonus, the Combat Override passive increases Aloy's ATK by 16% and nearby characters by 8% for 10 seconds when affected by at least one coil. The Strong Strike passive increases Aloy's Cryo damage bonus by up to 35% when she is in a Rush Ice state.
This is the perfect time to activate her Prophecies of Dawn elemental rampage. Aloy shoots an arrow that generates large DMG Area Cryo. This ability only costs 40 elemental energy points, so you can cast it regularly.
The trick is to only mount Aloy's elemental attack and elemental rampage. To do good damage, aim for level 8 for these two abilities.
As for most offensive characters, we recommend a build with a maximum of ATK, critical rate and critical damage.
We reveal the best artifacts and weapons to equip on Aloy in Genshin Impact.
To play Aloy as a DPS burst in Genshin Impact, the best artifact set is definitely the 4 piece Noblesse Oblige set. With 2 pieces of equipment, you increase elemental rampage by 20%. The 4-piece set will boost the attack of the whole team after an elemental rampage. This effect is not cumulative, however.
If a character on your team is already wearing this set, you can start with the 4-piece Emblem of Severed Fate set. It increases energy recharge by 20% and elemental rampage damage by 25% of your character's total energy recharge.
For your Aloy to benefit from a more offensive build, our advice is to opt for 2 pieces from the Noblesse Oblige and 2 pieces from the Blizzard Strayer set, in order to benefit from a 15% Cryo damage bonus.
It is also possible to choose 2 pieces of equipment from the Blizzard Strayer set and 2 pieces from a set of artifacts boosting the ATK of 18% such as Gladiator's Finale or Shimenawa's Reminiscence.

To raise Aloy to level 80+ in Genshin Impact and thus increase her Cryo damage bonus, you will need to collect the following resources:
Aloy can fit into almost any team in Genshin Impact. She will be able to apply the Cryo element to create elemental reactions and generate good damage with her elemental rampage.
For example, you can perform Melt by playing it with Xiangling / Bennett / an Anemo character such as Venti, Kazuha or Sucrose to gather the enemy and weaken them.
You can also choose two Cryo characters: Aloy / Diona / Xiangling / Kazuha or another Anemo character.
Aloy will also work in a Gel team with Ayaka / Kazuha / Kokomi.
And we have one last fun option for you: Klee / Aloy / Sucrose or Kazuha / Bennett. The trick is that Sucrose or Kazuha will be able to gather the bombs of Klee and Aloy to generate a maximum of explosions.
Aloy is about 18 years old and 1m62 tall. She is the heroine of the game Horizon released on PS4 and PS5. She has no story in Genshin Impact.
That's it for our tips and tricks in this Genshin Impact Aloy guide Although the Cryo heroine has no constellation and a weak basic attack, she has many strengths. She can lower the enemy's ATK and increase your team's, easily apply the Cryo element and regularly perform her elemental rampage. These qualities make the Archer a very good sub-DPS, especially since she is one of the easiest characters to play in Genshin Impact and will work in almost all your teams.
