Xingqiu is one of the best 4-star characters on Genshin Impact. Behind his youthful appearance, the Hydro fighter is an excellent DPS support. He applies the Hydro element wonderfully, which makes it very easy to create elemental reactions. Very popular in the Abyss, he is an asset not to be neglected in your team. To play him well and make the most of his potential, we have written this complete guide to Xingqiu from Genshin Impact. Our tips and tricks will tell you which artefacts and weapons to equip him with, who to play him with, etc.
Xingqiu is a 4 star character. You have a small chance to get him every time you make wishes in the Permanent Banners and Event Banners.
You have an increased chance of unlocking Xingqiu in the second part of update 2.4 from Genshin Impact. He is featured in the Zhongli (Mounts and Markets) and Ganyu (Passing Doubt) banners from 25 January until 15 February 2022.
To make your Xingqiu even stronger, several of its constellations are particularly worthwhile:
Xingqiu is played as a support and allows you to apply the Hydro element to your enemies. It's a great way to inflict repeated elemental reactions, whether it's Evaporation, Electrocution, Frost, etc.
Xingqiu's gameplay in Genshin Impact is very simple and relies on his two elemental skills. His elemental attack Guhua Sword: Driving Rain chains together two Hydro sword strikes and deploys rain swords around the active character. This soaks enemies, reduces damage taken, increases resistance to interruption and even heals your characters slightly when the swords break. Beware of Cryo enemies, however; Xingqiu's rain swords will also wet him. This will make him easier to freeze.
But it doesn't stop there; Xingqiu proves even more powerful with his elemental rampage Guhua Sword: Rain and Rainbow. He conjures up swords of rain inflicting Hydro damage and, when your characters attack, more swords materialise.
We advise you to improve Xingqiu's basic skills as much as possible. On the other hand, it is useless to improve his basic attack which you will not use.
To be able to use the Hydro element to its full potential in Genshin Impact, your Xingqiu must use his elemental rampage as often as possible. However, this is expensive (80 energy points). You should therefore choose equipment that increases its energy recharge as much as possible (to at least 180%).
Xingqiu fights with a sword with one hand. To optimize its build, bet on weapons attributing energy recharge.
The best option is theRitual Sword [4★]. In addition to providing a fair amount of energy recharge, it also gives (at level 1) a 40% chance to reset the elemental skill's cooldown when dealing damage.
If you don't have it, opt for other weapons that have energy recharge as a secondary statistic:
And if you don't have any of these swords, you can also equip theHeavenly Sword [3★].
For a good support build, several artifact sets will work very well with Xingqiu:
For stats, we recommendATK% or energy recharge on the hourglass, Hydro damage bonus on the cup and critical rate or critical damage on the crown. For the subs stats, bet as much as possible onATK%, critical rate and critical damage, a lot of energy recharge and a bit of elemental mastery.
If you want to raise Xingqiu to level 90 in Genshin Impact, you will need to collect the following resources:
Xingqiu shines especially in teams that promote elementary reactions such as :
Xingqiu is the second son of the director of the trade guild and has a lot of influence in Liyue. He is about 1.62m tall and is reportedly 17 years old. He was born on 9 October.
Thus, Xingqiu is a character not to be underestimated in Genshin Impact ! With a well optimized build, he will be THE support to put in all the teams to maximize your damages in the dungeons or the abysses!
