The Tricaru strategy on Summoners War is very popular with all summoners. Although it consumes a lot of energy at the start, it proves to be very useful because of its effectiveness in all PvE content, i.e. everything to do with the Dungeon Cairos, as well as levels that require speed in the Tartaros labyrinth. So which dungeons should this team play? Which runes for Tricaru? How much DEF? And, above all, how do you get to the second awakening quickly?
This comprehensive guide will explore this tactic in detail, ideal for players looking to optimise their PvE runs.
Of the many strategies available in Summoners War, Tricaru stands out for its versatility, particularly in PvE dungeons. It's particularly useful for the Giant's Castel, the Crypt of Judgement, Necropolis and, above all, the Dragon's Lair. Although you can no longer do the abyssal floors with this approach since the Reloaded update, it's still very effective for getting through the first 10 levels of each Dungeon Cairos. But that's not all: it can also be applied to TOA in Normal and Hard modes. And for time-limited battles in Tartaros.
The key to Tricaru's success? It lies in the Coop skill of each Icaru, which enables the team to launch grouped attacks, considerably increasing the damage potential. This unique ability makes it the perfect choice for fast, high-performance runs.
To fully optimise the Tricaru team, it is essential to use Verdehile, better known as Verde. His lead speed and ability to increase the team's attack gauge after each critical hit make him an indispensable monster. What's more, his inclusion helps to maximise the team's performance, allowing them to perform frequent attack cycles, which is essential for maintaining a good rhythm in all Summoners War content.
If you're looking for an alternative, we strongly recommend Astar, who also offers a degree of versatility in different SW content, such as dungeons and guild content. She has the ability to cause significant damage, especially in combined attacks, which is ideal for an offensive strategy. What's more, her 25% HP lead and ability to silence your enemies make her an undeniable asset.
Tricaru isn't just about skills, it's also about optimising their stats. Each Icaru must be equipped with runes that maximise their defence, a vital condition for ensuring their powerful cooperative attack. To do this, you'll need to farm to obtain the 6-star Determination rune, available in the SR10 to SR12 levels of the Spiritual Realm. In addition to this, you'll also need to invest in the Summon Tower building, which boosts the defence stats of all your monsters, which is essential if you want to get the most out of them.
If you want to know how much defense you need for Tricaru, we strongly recommend that you consult this little Tricaru chart table to get the perfect DEF and VIT stats. 😉
Monsters | Runes | Minimum stats | Small details |
---|---|---|---|
| Determination + Guardian DEF% / DEF% / DEF% | DEF Accuracy ITV | The first Icaru must have the highest accuracy in order to apply a Break Def. |
| Determination + Guardian or Will DEF%/ DG CRIT%/ DEF% | DEF VIT Accuracy | Its joint attack is proportional to its defence, inflicting heavy damage. |
| Determination + Guardian or Will DEF%/ DEF%/ DEF%/ DEF% | DEF VIT Accuracy | The third companion also inflicts enormous damage. |
| Rage + Blade or Determination PV% / TX CRIT%/ATQ% | HP TX CRIT DEF VIT | He must play last in order to increase the attack gauge and ensure a sustained attack cycle. |
| Rage + Blade or Determination ATQ%/ DC CRIT%/ ATQ% | HP ATQ VIT TX CRIT DG CRIT | An alternative to Verde, she must play in last position to finish off enemies by inflicting heavy damage. It is particularly useful for TOA and Tartaros. |
As you can see from the chart table above, the minimum DEF for Tricaru is 2500. A rather complicated stat to obtain, but achievable with good runes and advanced buildings. Note that the minimum of 2500 is only valid if you don't use Determination Sets and if your DEF% Guide Tower (Guardstone Tower) is not very high level.
For example, if you have 6 Determination Sets + Tower at level 10, you'll need +2100 DEF minimum on your Icaru. If you have 10 Determination + Tower Sets at level 20, you'll need +1800 DEF minimum.
You can find the theoretical correspondence for each level here.
Even if it's tempting to equip Violent runes to get an extra turn, it's not recommended to equip Icaru with them as this could break the cooperation effect, which would be a real shame! To complete your set, it would be preferable to choose Guardian or Will runes , which turn out to be much more judicious!
Verde's runage also needs special attention to ensure that it matches Tricaru perfectly. It's imperative that his critical rate reaches 100% , ensuring that every runner scores a critical hit and increases the attack gauge of all his allies. This approach is not only offensive, it also ensures a sustained attack cycle. To achieve this, we suggest you use rune combinations such as Rage and Blade or Rage and Determination.
Speaking of critical rate, it's just as important to maximise Astar's skills. It is therefore more than necessary for her to be able to deliver critical attacks to inflict heavy damage, while trying to maintain an appropriate speed with the rest of the team. This is especially true when there are cooperative attacks led by the Icaru.
If some of the stats in your runes don't meet the Tricaru team's requirements, you can adjust them using conversion gems or strengthen them using enhancement wheels. To acquire them, simply go to the Crafting building, special section, where you'll need symbols or antique stones you've obtained during the far margin of each of your Icaru.
Another solution is to farm the rift of worlds with the Flaming Beast to obtain Determination gems and the Storm Beast for Rages gems. As for the millstones, you can get them by playing the Monster Raid.
The Tricaru strategy is one of the most popular among Summoners War summoners, but it requires a significant investment of time and energy. For this reason, we recommend mounting the Icaru one at a time for a number of reasons:
If you want to farm Inugamis quickly, you can do so in the various secret dungeons as well as in the worlds of Faimon Volcano and Telain Forest, to complete all the skills needed for the second awakening. However, we do not recommend that you complete this task for all three simultaneously. It can be extremely time-consuming and may cause you to lose focus, potentially leading to abandonment.
This approach involves a high cost in energy, both normal and dimensional. It is therefore preferable to wait for these to regenerate naturally. If you're impatient, you can use your crystals to buy energy in the Shop.
The double awakening requires a strong team and that your monster has evolved to 6 stars beforehand in order to ensure fast runs in the Karzhan Remains.
