Azur Lane is a mix of a role-playing game and a side-scrolling shooter. Players collect characters that are highly anthropomorphic interpretations of World War II warships ("shipgirls"), mainly from the US, British, Japanese and German navies. Players organise them into fleets of six and battle enemies controlled by the AI or by other players' fleets.
