The little bees of Team Vitality are already foraging in many disciplines esport. League of Legends, CS:GO, Valorant, Fortnite... The French structure hunts everywhere and is one of the most influential names on the international scene. From now on, you will also have to get used to Team Vitality CoD Mobile. The French organisation has decided to acquire an Indian roster, a bit like PSG which has an Asian roster on Brawl Stars.
No one saw the deal coming, but it may be a turning point for the French company. While it has remained at a reasonable distance from the mobile market, if successful, it could well tackle the rest of the esport games on phones.
On paper, the project may be perplexing and some may wonder where the idea came from. But Team Vitality is not going into the unknown either. The roster consists of Arav "Monk" Narang, Akshan "Argon" Madhani, Armaan "Moonscope" Dharni, Priyank "DEATH" Birajdar, Samartha "JOKOs" Ghadge and Samruddha "SAMs" Ghadge. That is to say 5 of the 6 players of the S8UL line-up which finished 2nd in the Indian Cup last February. SAMs, the patch, had finished 3rd in this competition with the Heroes Official structure. In its quest for the title, Team Vitality PUBG Mobile will be able to count on Arnoor "Toxy" Mutneja (coach) and Melson "mello" Miranda (team manager).
The bees will surely have their sights set on the Call of Duty Mobile Championship. While the 2020 edition, with a million dollar cash prize, was cancelled due to the pandemic, the community is hoping for a return to normal for 2021. Activision has not yet communicated on the subject, but has sent enough positive signals for organisations like Team Vitality to take to the water.
The roster may be Indian, but this recruitment should please Team Vitality's historical fans. Call of Duty is in the structure's DNA and it was on the CoD scene (but on consoles) that the Bees started to make a name for themselves. At the time, the team's stars were named Corentin "Gotaga" Houssein, Kevin "BroKeN" Georges or Thomas "AzoX" Albanese... While the structure closed its Call of Duty team in 2018 and these former stars now shine on Twitch, this return could allow Team Vitality to write a new chapter in its history.
